Mad River Glen is the Mecca for Telemark skiing in the East. We are proud to be the official home of the North American Telemark Organization (NATO) and the North American Telemark Festival, the world's oldest and largest gathering of Telemark skiers. Our uncrowded natural snow trails and varied terrain offer the finest lift-serviced Telemark skiing available anywhere. High quality rental equipment, gifted instructors, and a healthy camaraderie draw Telemark skiers to Mad River Glen like pilgrims to a holy shrine.

Mad River Glen is committed to furthering the sport of Telemark skiing. We host many NATO clinic days and sponsor special Telemark Demo Days throughout the season. In addition, all of the Mad River Ski School offerings are available for Telemark skiers and every on-mountain ski competition has a Telemark Division.

Telemark Beginner Package

Try Telemarking with Mad River's Beginner Telemark Package. The package includes equipment rental and a 2 hour group lesson for $35. It is available weekends and holidays throughout the season

Women's Telemark Primer - Dec. 27

Presented by NATO this is an intensive and fun one-day on-snow technique clinic for women from beginner to expert. Call NATO at (800) 835-3404 for information.

Tele-Rama Weekend - Jan 10-11

Half price skiing for Green Mountain Club members. You can even join the GMC at the ticket booth. The folks from Climb High will be on hand so you can Demo all the latest Telemark Equipment for free. Many manufacturers reps will also be available to show off the latest and greatest. The Mad River Glen Ski School will be offering special Tele Clinics at great rates. The first clinic costs $20 with each additional one being $15. The following clinics will be offered;

• Introduction to the Telemark Turn 10 AM Sat & Sun
• Working Out The Kinks - Refining Your Telemark Turn 1 P.M. Sat & Sun
• Keeping Up With The Jones'- Improving your Tele-bump skiing 1 PM Sat & Sun
• Ice, Glop & Breakable Crust - How to have fun on days when normal people stay home. This will be a powder clinic if conditions permit. 10 AM Sun
• Woods Skiing - How to cope and what to do when you get in over your head 10 AM Sat
