Founded in 1988, SKIVT-L began as and remains an electronic mail based listserv style discussion list dealing in all aspects of Vermont Skiing, including eye-witness accounts of terrain and conditions encountered by our team of on-slope reporters and daily Vermont ski and weather reports from the National Weather Service. Best of all, it's free!!

The SkiVt-L Web site was established and announced Thursday, 28 April 1994. We challenge you to name an older Skiing Web Site in the known universe.

We once again thank Vermont Sports Today magazine for naming us the November, 1998 Site of the Month. Special Tip 'o the Moriarity Hat to Friend-of-List David Goodman on this. We were their November '96 Site of the Month, too!

The SkiVt-L discussion list and the SkiVt-L WWW site were featured in a story by David Goodman in the November, 1995 edition of SKI Magazine.

Our greatest fame was mention in the September, 1997 issue of SKIING Magazine, page 106. We're listed as one of their top 10 Cool Ski Sites, and make special mention of the Boston Bob Stories Archive.
